Tracy Scott
Tracy is passionate about the potential of people and their intrinsic need to make a meaningful contribution in every area of their lives.
Her focus is on enabling people to gain insights into who they are: their strengths, talents and personality and how these can be harnessed for the greatest impact. She believes that people are intrinsically motivated when they are able to do what they love and to translate that into achievable goals. Tracy is able to connect with people and her ability to create a positive and constructive environment enables people to move to the next level by embracing their unique strengths and more effectively managing their weaknesses.
Tracy has been a facilitator and materials designer for the past 5 years. She is particularly interested in the power of experiential learning and has created a variety of experiential learning engagements. These have included a clay workshop at the Apartheid Museum with the renowned South African sculptor Noria Mobasa, a tour with Lionel Davis (artist and ex-political prisoner) at Constitution Hill as well as working with the Yeoville community and creating a unique Amazing Race in the Johannesburg CBD.
Her skills training is centred around personal development. Enabling individuals to understand themselves and others is a critical step towards attaining personal mastery. She covers a wide range of areas: persuasive conversations, change management, diversity, personal branding, innovation, presentation skills, train the trainer, designing custom induction programmes as well as delivering custom projects.
She also believes that learning takes place when a variety of learning styles are engaged: she is passionate about the power of visual learning to embed or trigger fresh thinking. She enjoys working creatively: designing new material, drawing cartoons and rich pictures, running photo-shoots and creating photo-comics. Tracy is also a speaker and enjoys giving short, dynamic, highly visual presentations.
As a facilitator and coach, Tracy particularly values her work around Strengths. She has worked extensively with teams to enable them to understand the value of their individual strengths and the strengths of their team as a whole. This insight can be used to increase their collective success and enable them to achieve high performance targets.
Clients describe Tracy's facilitation style as authentic, empathetic, affirming, intuitive, respectful, positive and professional. When training she is described as being dynamic, and passionate.
Tracy is very experienced in using the Gallup StrengthsFinder and she is an accredited Insights facilitator.
