Why agile leadership?
Change is inevitable. We live in an age of constant change, and a necessary criterion for leaders is the ability to work with change as opposed to against it. One of the ways to achieve this is for the individual to be able to “hold a strong point of view lightly”™. This means being able to genuinely consider different inputs in order to identify the most appropriate response.
An agile leader is able to articulate ideas or strategy in a way that encourages buy-in by providing context. It is about the participants stating their views and allowing others to test their thinking for the benefit of the team and the organisation. It involves developing an awareness and openness to other possibilities while retaining a strong sense of self.
We explore situational leadership, namely the styles of leadership appropriate to different situations or individuals. Faced with ongoing change in the organisation, only those who are agile and productive will be able to adapt and excel.
What are the benefits?
In this module we provide tools and models which enable the leaders to navigate the path without losing sight of the organisation’s ultimate goal. Participants learn to master the “how to” of effectively navigating change. This has a direct and positive impact on relationships and on results. The benefits are broad, deep and long-lasting. The impact is evident in all areas of the leader's life and, most importantly, in their relationship with themselves. They deal with day-to-day pressures more effectively and with greater ease. Because of a stronger self-awareness, they are able to respond to challenges with confidence. They are able to motivate and inspire their teams towards a joint purpose and vision. Because of their own inner balance, they are able to balance the different facets of their lives and be more “in the present” and open to those around them.
