Why make the journey?

The 6 modules which are illustrated on the sign make up the Paths of Excellence™. Each contains the models, tools and methodologies for the journey. Click the sign to view each one.

There is a direct correlation between the quality of our relationships and the results we achieve. Sustainable, highly functional organisations are made up of top performing individuals and teams, who are able to communicate effectively with self (intrapersonal) and others (interpersonal). This programme is designed to build competence in the field of communication and collaboration in leaders.

What is a path of excellence?
In the bush wild animals create paths that take them to the places they desire. These include the watering hole, the best territory in which to feed, a den for protection or a shady tree for rest. This is natural and instinctive. These paths usually represent the shortest or easiest route to the desired destination and are developed over time as a result of repetition. As creatures of habit, humans too have powerful paths that we create for ourselves. These paths are evident in the urban environment and even in our minds. Urban paths occur in the form of road maps and the highways, which we take to our chosen destinations. Similarly the brain is a series of pathways and our behaviour is reflective of this. Each individual, team and organisation is on a path that either encourages purposeful and sustainable growth or stifles it.

The objective of the 6 modules of the Paths of Excellence™ journey is to enable people to harness their potential and to create a reality that will benefit both the growth of self and that of the team/organisation.
Why does it matter?
In today’s world, technical skill and competence is not enough to get the job done. We spend so much time coping with challenges along our path that we forget why we are on the path. In order to succeed, we need a broad set of skills. We need self confidence and self awareness to manage stress, to address difficult issues constructively, to take initiative and to build sustainable relationships.
